Sing-Along Sound of Music @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre presents a special Easter weekend screening of The Sound of Music along with sing-along lyrics for all of the songs in the film, packs of audience participation items, and of course a costume contest for the audience. Windy City Rollers vs. Canada

The Windy City Rollers travel teams take on Canada tonight at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave. The Windy City All-Stars face Montreal's New Skids on the Block, while the Second Wind skate against Toronto Roller Derby's CN Power. Michael Zapruder's Pink Thunder @ Rational Park

Michael Zapruder and friends perform Zapruder's latest album, Pink Thunder, at Rational Park, 2557 W. North Ave., at a reception tonight from 7 to 10pm. The gallery is currently displaying Zapruder's 22 Pink Thunder portmanteaus, consisting of a recording of a song from the album and a corresponding found object, through April 12. The event is free.

Valerio Tricoli - Tribute to Luigi Russolo @ Lampo

Composer Valerio Tricoli creates two new compositions exclusively for Lampo and debuts them tonight at 8 p.m. at the Graham Foundation's Madlener House, 4 W. Burton Pl., Chicago. The pieces are a tribute to Futurist thinker and musician Luigi Russolo, whose manifesto "The Art of Noises" revolutionized the way we hear music both consonant and abstract today. Shogun Assassin @ Patio Theater

The Chicago Cinema Society screens a rare 35mm print of martial arts classic Shogun Assassin tonight at the Patio Theater, 6008 W. Irving Park Rd., at 10pm. Tickets are $7.

The Late Live Show featuring Lucas Neff and Brighton, MA @ iO Theater

Chicago-born Lucas Neff, best known for his role as Jimmy Chance on Fox's Raising Hope is stopping by the iO's Late Live Show for a night of wacky skits and laughs. The Late Live Show will be hosting Neff as well as the musical guest for the night, Brighton, MA. Their indie stylings have been featured on shows such as Gossip Girl, Community, Castle and One Tree Hill.

Get ready for a night of weird jokes, sketches, and characters, all crafted by the Improv Olympic staff writers, whose credits include The Onion News Network and Funny or Die.

Facets Night School: Carnival Magic

Facets Cinematheque kicks off another session of Facets Night School tonight at midnight. The first film in the series is the long-forgotten chimpsploitation flick Carnival Magic, presented with a lecture by Jason Coffman of the Chicago Cinema Society.
