The Peterson Garden Project holds a plant sale this weekend, May 10-12, at 4642 N. Francisco Ave. from 10am to 4pm. Pick up organic heirloom vegetable and herb seedlings, gardening supplies and baked goods from local pastry chefs. See a list of what plants will be available here. The Music Box Theatre presents their annual Mother's Day screening of the 1981 camp classic Mommie Dearest, hosted by Dick O'Day and the Hell in a Handbag players. Join Dick for a pre-screening show at 2:00pm, and expect a running commentary throughout the film by members of Camp Midnight. The first 100 attendees receive a commemorative wire hanger! The Chicago Symphony Orchestra explores Sheherazade in the latest installment of its Beyond the Score multimedia series today at 3pm at Symphony Hall, 220 S. Mighigan Ave. Creative Director Gerard McBurney holds a free Q&A after the performance. Tickets are $30-95.
