Lake Shore Drive between Bryn Mawr and 57th Street becomes a serene bike path this morning for the annual Bike the Drive. Start times 5:30-7:30am; event runs until 10:15am. Registration required ($48+ for adults; $15+ for kids); proceeds benefit Active Transportation Alliance and World Bicycle Relief.
The Randolph Street Market begins its summer season this weekend, May 25-26, in the Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W. Washington St. Browse for antiques and ephemera, vintage clothing, jewelry, art, vinyl records and more, from 10am to 5pm each day. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door; students get $3 admission in advance, $5 at the door.
