Mini-comic Release Party @ Parson's
Busy Beaver Button Company and the Chicago Alternative Comic Expo teamed up to create a limited edition mini-comic, and they're releasing it tonight at Parson's Chicken & Fish, 2952 W. Armitage Ave. Stop by between 6pm and 9pm for free fried chicken and Brooklyn Brewing beer (while supplies last), and grab a copy of the comic.
The Lincoln Lodge in Just for Laughs @ Stage 773
The Lincoln Lodge, Chicago's longest running independent stand-up comedy show, has been invited to be part of the prestigious TBS JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL - CHICAGO! Celebrate the Lodge's FINAL show of Season 13 at Stage 773 (1225 W Belmont Ave) with a night of laughs. Featuring Lincoln Lodge cast members Saurin Choksi, Charlie Bury, Martin Morrow, Derek Smith, Caitlin Bergh, and Ricky Gonzalez. Tickets are $15. You can purchase them online here.
George Pfau & Jason Robert Bell @ Gallery 400
Multimedia artist George Pfau presents a slideshow of diagrams, film stills, videos, and animations about zombies, and artist Jason Robert Bell performs tarot readings with his newly released White Feathered Octopus tarot cards tonight at Gallery 400, 400 S. Peoria St., tonight from 7 to 9pm. The performances are part of the closing party for the group exhibition I THINK WE’RE READY TO GO TO THE NEXT SEQUENCE: THE LEGACY OF HALFLIFERS. Free.
"Getting back on a bike after a long time or a setback" @ Women & Children First
Women Bike Chicago present a reading at Women & Children First, 5233 N. Clark St., by local bicyclists Susan Levin and Leah Jones, who will each share their stories of getting into and recovering from bad crashes. This free event is in honor of Bike To Work Week. Event start time is 7:30pm. Refreshments will be served.
