The 33rd annual American Music Festival runs July 3-6 at FitzGerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn. Tickets are $30 at the door, with a $5 discount for the first hour after doors; four-day passes are available online only for $100. Kids under 12 are $5, and are welcome until 10pm each day. Doors open today at 4:30pm.

All the cool kids will be at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) tonight for Veggie Bingo, a summerlong series brought to you by the good folks at Soup and Bread and NeighborSpace. Play the game, enjoy a grilled hot dog donated by Hot Doug's, donate money to help sustain a local community garden, and win food-related prizes (fresh produce from Irv and Shelly's, among others). Event runs 5:30-8pm.
As part of their Date with the 80s film series, the Gene Siskel Film Center presents an evening screening of the 1984 film Footloose at 6:00pm.
