Veggie Bingo @ Hideout

All the cool kids will be at the Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia) tonight for Veggie Bingo, a summerlong series brought to you by the good folks at Soup and Bread and NeighborSpace. Play the game, enjoy a grilled hot dog donated by Hot Doug's, donate money to help sustain a local community garden, and win food-related prizes (fresh produce from Irv and Shelly's, among others). Event runs 5:30-8pm.

'Unacceptable Levels' Makes Chicago Debut

Award-winning documentary "Unacceptable Levels," directed by filmmaker Ed Brown, will be hosting its Chicago screening debut tonight at the Museum of Contemporary Art as part of a 2013 summer tour. In the style of Michael Moore meets Earth Day, the documentary examines the results of the chemical revolution of the 1940's and opens the door to conversations about the chemical burden our bodies carry. The event includes a pre-screening VIP reception with actress and eco-activist Mariel Hemingway. VIP Tickets are $75.00 and general admission is $12.00. Celebrating Zelda Fitzgerald @ Women & Children First

It's Zelda Fitzgerald's 113th birthday today! Join Women & Children First and author R. Clifton Spargo in celebration. In his novel Beautiful Fools, Spargo imagines F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald's tumultuous, passionate relationship set against the backdrop of their vacation to Cuba in 1939. Event begins at 7:30pm at 5233 N Clark St. Free.

The Social Takeover @ Laugh Factory

Perennial crowd-favorite, and prolific stand-up comedian Michael Larimer brings his chiseled face and sharper wit to the Laugh Factory (3175 Broadway st.) for the monthly and uber original show, The Social Takeover. Larimer, along with comics Kristen Toomey and Joey Villagomez, will assume control of a willing audiences member's facebook page for 90 minutes of anything goes where they'll roast and frazzle their online family and friends. General Admission tickets are $17 ($27 for VIP) online, there's a two drink-minimum, doors open at 7 pm, show is at 8 pm.
