Legacy Frameworks Pop-Up @ Comfort Station

Legacy Frameworks runs a pop-up shop for its handmade custom bike frames today from 5 to 10pm at the Logan Square Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. Free.

MCA First Fridays

The Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave., hosts its monthly First Fridays open house tonight from 6 to 10pm. The theme is "Selfies." Pose for a photo by Kelly Kaczynski in her pop-up green screen studio; listen to to Joan of Arc perform Helter Skelter, a site-specific endurance performance; watch Jennifer Mills' interactive performance Knock, Knock! Who's There?; view a program of YouTube videos curated by Eric Fleischauer or Selina Trepp's video self-portrait, Thinking about Inheritance; join in Mathew Paul Jinks’ interactive reading, Invitation to read from an immigrant's library; and enjoy DJ sets by Chances Dances. Marc Maron @ Mayne Stage

Comedian and podcaster Marc Maron does a four-night stand at Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave., Aug. 1-4, with Adam Burke opening. There are two shows tonight: 8pm (6:30pm doors) and 10pm (9:30pm doors). Tickets are $30. 18+

The Interview Show @ Hideout

The Interview Show is back at the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., tonight at 6:30pm. Host Mark Bazer talks with author Nicole Knepper, hot dog impresario Doug Sohn, chef Andrew Zimmerman and filmmaker Joe Swanberg. Admission is $8. 21+

Fuckapalozza @ Tonic Room

Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St., hosts Fuckapalooza, a three-day festival alternative to that other one downtown, Thursday through Saturday. Tonight's show includes performances by Sleepy Kitty, Young Hines, Future Monarchs and Sad Brad Smith; Brian Babylon hosts. Tickets for tonight's show are $10, or get a three-day pass for $25. Doors open at 8pm. 21+

Live Lit on the Lake @ Theater on the Lake

Live Lit on the Lake is curated and hosted by Ian Belknap, founder and host of WRITE CLUB, which features a rotating lineup of Chicago's most audacious writers/performers at Theater on the Lake (2401 N. Lake Shore Dr.) Each week performers from storefront theater literary series read from their favorite pieces, and discuss the craft and practice of live lit with the host. August 1 & 2 featured readers include: Lily Be, founder of Stoop Style Stories, Caitlin Bergh, founder of Funny Story Show and Keith Ecker, founder of Essay Fiesta and Guts & Glory. Show starts at 9:25pm and is free.
