Digital Self Discussion @ CAC

The Chicago Artists Resource presents Digital Self: Making Your Online Presence Work For You, a panel discussion at the Chicago Artists Coalition, 217 N. Carpenter St., tonight at 6pm. The discussion will feature actor and producer Adria Dawn, artist and designer James T. Green, and editor and webmaster JC Steinbrunner; writer and designer Mig Reyes moderates. Tandem Shop 5th Anniversary @ Lincoln Hall

Tandem Shop Records celebrates its fifth anniversary with a show at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., featuring label acts Project Film, Many Places, The Oarsman, Mr. Bear, Marko Casso and Stephen Mulcahy. Tickets are $8 in advance or at the door. Doors open at 7pm. 18+

On The Wall: Zine Art Meets Gallery Art

Quimby's Bookstore and salon/art space Strange Beauty Show co-curated an exhibition of artwork from zines, which makes its debut with a reception at Strange Beauty Show, 1118 N. Ashland Ave., tonight from 7 to 10pm. There will also be zines for sale and karaoke. More details here.

Bonzie record release party @ Schubas

Schubas hosts the record release party for Bonzie, aka Chicago's Nina Ferraro, this evening at 7:30pm. It's an all-ages show, and admission is $7. Schubas: 3159 N. Southport (at Belmont). (773) 525-2508.

Wood Sugars "Freak Show featuring Regular Adults"

Step right up to this spectacle of boring and vulnerable people! Award-winning sketch comedy group Wood Sugars' final show run, "Freak Show featuring Regular Adults," tips its cap to the days of the traveling circus, and boasts new-aged oddities such as "Dub-Step Father," "Prohibition-Era Wrigleyville (revisited)" and "Gravedigger: the man on a first date who shares his uninformed opinion on a woman's issue." The show runs Thursdays at 8pm in August at the Public House Theater (3914 N. Clark, just south of Irving Park). Tickets are $10 and include a beer.
