The 10th annual Bash on Wabash runs today and Sunday on Wabash Ave between 13th Street and 14th Place. There's music all day on the the stage curated by Reggies as well as a kids stage. There are lots of free activities for adults and kids, food trucks and a variety of local vendors. $5 suggested donation; kids stage is a $2 suggested donation for adults, free for kids. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the South Loop Community Church Food Pantry. The festival is open from 11am to 10pm each day.

Festa Italiana takes over Taylor Street from Racine to Ashland Aug. 22-25. Enjoy live music by (mostly) Italian-American acts, shop local vendors, enjoy Italian food -- maybe even participate in a meatball-eating contest or grape stomp -- play bocce and more. The festival is open from noon to 11pm tonight.
The Boulevard Logan Square music festival and the Brasil Fest run simultaneously Aug. 23-25 on the Logan Boulevard parkway between Albany and Mozart. Today's lineup for Boulevard Fest features the 10-10-10 Youth Program with ALSO, Cosby Sweater, IndigoSun, Queer Contra Dance, Logan Chamber Players, The Floozies, Eliot Lipp and BoomBox. Brasil Fest features Dois No Choro and guests, Cecy Santana Bandm, the Dill Costa Quintet, Group Axé Capoeira, Boteco Soul, Soulphonetics, Samba1 Brazilian Dance Group and Chicago Samba. Both festivals run from noon to 10pm today. Suggested donation $5.
Lillstreet Art Center, 4401 N. Ravenswood Ave., begins its celebration of 10 years at its Ravenswood location this weekend with the fall open house today from noon to 4pm. Explore the center, participate in free workshops, and check out the new exhibition in the gallery. Free; RSVP on Facebook.
The Burlington, 3425 W. Fullerton Ave., celebrates its sixth anniversary today, starting at 1pm. Catch performances by Bloodiest, Mannequin Men, Tight Phantomz, Lasers and Fast and Shit, Vamos, Dave Vandervelde and Friends, Forgotten Species, Pink Avalanche, Sabers, Rainbow Gun Show and Love and Other Crimes, DJ sets from Mannequin Men, Pillow Fighterz, Aaron Owl, Mr. October and Scantron -- plus many guest DJs and bands. The Honky Tonk BBQ food truck will be on hand to feed you, and the bar will of course be open. 21+
Upstairs Gallery presents A Jangleheart Circus, a three-day comedy festival Aug. 22-24 at the Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. The lineup features several dozen sketch and improv comedy troupes from Chicago and beyond. Performances run from 7pm to 1am each day. Tickets are $20 per day or $50 for a three-day pass.
Psalm One and Bassel & the Supernaturals top the lineup tonight at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., with Falldown and Em & Them in support. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Doors open at 9pm. 18+
