Randolph Street Holiday Market

The Randolph Street Market transforms into the Holiday Market today and Sunday at the Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W. Washington St. From 10am to 5pm, shop for antiques, art, furniture and collectibles, as well as newly made crafts, from dozens of vendors. Free parking and gift wrapping. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door, with discounts for students and seniors. Kids under 12 get in free.

Chicago Toy & Game Fair

The Chicago Toy & Game Fair takes over Navy Pier's Festival Hall A today and Sunday. Check out new games and old favorites, as well as special events such as the Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest. The show is open from 10am to 6pm today. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 3-13.

SAIC Holiday Art Sale

The School of the Art Institute's annual Holiday Art Sale runs Saturday and today in the ballroom at 112 S. Michigan Ave. Purchase art, clothing, jewelry and more, all made by SAIC students. The show is open from 10am to 5pm today.

Show of Hands @ Ravenswood Event Center

Presented by local design company OrangeBeautiful, the Show of Hands craft fair brings together designers, illustrators, jewelry-makers, and several other craftspeople at the Ravenswood Event Center Showroom (4043 N Ravenswood) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Live Show @ Mad River

The Chicago Nerd Social Club hosts a viewing party for the 50th anniversary Doctor Who special, running from 11:00am to 2:00pm today. The screening is happening at Mad River (2909 N. Sheffield). The event is free; full details at the Chicago Nerds Website.

Food Film Festival

The fourth annual Chicago Food Film Festival runs Nov. 20-23 at Kendall College, 900 N. North Branch Ave. Today's first program is titled Edible Adventure #009, featuring the films You Really Should Eat This: Corned Beef Hash at George's, You Really Should Eat This: Feijoada at Taste of Brasil Café, Best Fish Tacos in Ensenada, The Chile Film and Sweet Legacy. The after-party includes the Sugar Takedown, in which 20 contestants make sweets for you to taste and vote on, plus dishes inspired by the day's films, wine and beer. Tickets are $55.

Then tonight, Farm to Film to Table features the films Ashley English, Letting Salt Just Be Salt: Amagansett Sea Salt Co., Small Green Fields, Mile High Pie, The Northeast Kingdom and Head On!, along with a Lowcountry shrimp boil and other dishes inspired by the film, beer and wine. Doors open at 7pm for VIPs, 7:30pm general admission. Tickets are $75, $95 for VIP. Festival-wide VIP passes are available for $295. Doors open at noon.

Bacon, Sports & Beer Celebration

The Bacon, Sports & Beer Celebration takes place today from 2 to 6pm in the Great Hall at Union Station, 500 W. Jackson St. Sample more than 30 beers, taste bacon dishes from over a dozen vendors, check out golf and indoor sports equipment and play Nerf sports, pop-a-shot, sports trivial and more. Tickets are $59 and include a souvenir cup, 32 1oz. samples of beer and unlimited bacon. $200 VIP passes get you in an hour earlier, plus a goodie bag full of beer, bacon and sports-related stuff. 21+

Dream Syndicate @ Old Town School

Founding fathers of alternative rock Dream Syndicate perform at the Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave., along with Rich Rizzo tonight. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are $28 for members, $30 for nonmembers.

Pay It Forward Party @ Flats Studio

Autotelic {Studios} and Sixty Inches From Center host a party tonight from 7pm to midnight at Flats Studio, 1050 W. Wilson Ave., to celebrate the culmination of Pay It Forward, a collaborative, experimental fundraiser. Enjoy food and drink, music, and an art exhibition curated by Jenny Lam. Admission is $10, and 20% of the proceeds of the party and the fundraiser go to other arts organizations in the community.

Polish Film Festival in America

The Polish Film Festival in America runs Nov. 8-24. Tonight features Polski Film at 7pm, Miłość (Love) at 8:15pm, and Krótkie kroniki wampirów (Short Vampires' Chronicles) and Fuck the Forest at 10pm at the Gallery Theatre, 1112 N. Milwaukee Ave., and Papusza at 8pm at Muvico Rosemont 18, 9701 Bryn Mawr Ave. in Rosemont. See the full schedule for details. Tickets are $10 for documentaries, $14 for feature films, with student and senior discounts available. Festival passes are available for $75, with Gold passes that also include opening and closing night events going for $150.

You're Being Ridiculous @ Mary's Attic

You're Being Ridiculous is a group of real people telling real funny stories about their lives with a theme as their guide. With three shows this month, there's sure to be a date that matches your calendar. Come out tonight to hear stories on the theme "heroes." Stories start at 7:30pm at Mary's Attic (5400 N. Clark), tickets are $15 at Brown Paper Tickets.
