Chicago Ave., continues her series of four gallery talks in connection with the exhibition The Way of the Shovel: Art as Archaeology, today at 3pm with one on Cap Streeter and the creation of Streeterville. The Windy City Rollers hold their home season opener tonight at the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway. The Fury battle the Double Crossers in the first bout, then the Manic Attackers take on Hell's Belles. Doors open at 5pm, first bout starts at 6pm. Chicago Ukulele Cabaret presents its annual holiday ukulele open-mic show tonight at Silvie's Lounge (1902 W. Irving Park). The title of the evening is "How the Uke Stole Christmas (and Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, etc.)". Interested performers are requested to prepare up to 3 songs of holiday material for a 15-minute set.
