Story Club South Side @ Co-Prosperity Sphere, Bridgeport
Story Club returns to Co-Prosperity Sphere , 3219 S Morgan St, tonight at 8pm. The theme this month is "shorts." This month's featured performers will have just 4 minutes to tell their stories. The show features stories from Emmy-award winner, playwright, and 90's comedian Joe Janes, You're Being Ridiculous founder and host Jeremy Owens, Story stylist-- most recently of Vocalo's Music & Stories Xavier Jordan, Actor, teaching artist, and founder of Knife & Fork Theatre Dani Bryant, Actor and story queen Maura Clement and Journalist and Story Club Magazine's web designer -- David Lipowski! There's also an open mic, signup for which begins at 7:30pm. $5 suggested donation.
Write Club @ Hideout
The Hideout presents the monthly meeting of Write Club, the literary bout featuring local authors taking up differing positions, and metaphorically duking it out on stage for your entertainment (and for charities of the participants' choice).
