Chicago Zine Fest

The Chicago Zine Fest starts today at 1pm with a series of discussions at the Conaway Center at Columbia College, 1104 S. Wabash Ave. The festival continues through tomorrow; see the festival's website for a complete schedule.

Beer & Pie Throw Down @ Atlas Brewing

Atlas Brewing, 2747 N. Lincoln Ave., hosts a Pie Day Beer & Pie Throw Down tonight at 5:30pm. Bang Bang Pie Shop, Hoosier Mama Pie Company, Sugar Pie Cafe, and Atlas will create pies to pair with Atlas beers, and you get to vote for the best pie. Each $31.40 ticket is good for two people and includes two flights of four beers and one flight of paired pies. 21+

Good Food Festival

The Good Food Festival & Conference runs March 13-15 at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd. Today's schedule includes a tradeshow of local and sustainable products from 10am to 5:30pm, followed by a "meet the buyers" reception until 7pm. Then from 7 to 9:30pm the festival hosts Localicious, a party featuring dozens of local and regional farms, restaurants, breweries, distilleries and other food purveyors. Tickets are $85 in advance, $95 at the door.

Toy de Jour Grand Opening

Toy de Jour, 2064 N. Western Ave., holds a grand opening party tonight from 7 to 10pm. Check out the space, shop vintage toys and games, and possibly enjoy fries from Red Hot Ranch. Free.

Particle Fever @ Music Box

W. Kamau Bell @ Lincoln Hall

Comedian W. Kamau Bell brings his one-man show "Oh, Everything!" to Chicago tonight at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets are $20 in advance, $23 at the door, which opens at 9pm. 21+
