Story Week
Columbia College's Story Week Festival of Writers runs March 16-21. Today's events include a faculty reading at 11am, a panel discussion featuring short story authors at 2pm, Stuart Dybek reading and discussing his new collection of short stories at 6pm, and Readings in the Raw open mic at 9:30pm. The Beer Nuts @ Double Door
The Beer Nuts headline a "St. Paddy's Day Bash" at Double Door, 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave., tonight wiht Mexican Werewolf, She's Crafty and Yeowulf. Tickets are $10 for guys, but ladies get in free. Doors open at 7:30pm, show's at 8:30pm. 21+
Islands & Escondido @ SPACE
Islands, fronted by Nicholas Thorburn (The Unicorns), will be bringing their melancholy twinged indie pop to Evanston tonight.
