The Little Mexico Film Festival, in partnership with Mexico's Morbido Film Fest, the producers of Unísono and We Love Pilsen, presents the first of a new monthly series of short horror films from Mexico tonight at La Catrina Cafe, 1011 W. 18th St. No cover, but a $10 donation is suggested.
New female-focused live lit series Miss Spoken debuts at the Gallery Cabaret, 2020 N. Oakley Ave., tonight at 7pm. The theme is "Boobs," and readers include Samantha Irby, Natasha Samreny, Melane LaForce, Jasmine Davila and Alicia Swiz. Rosamund Lannin

The Encyclopedia Show stages its last show ever tonight at 7:30pm at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The theme is the prairie, and guests include Naomi Ashley, Laura Balinski, Mark Butchko, Joseph Chilliams, Emma Rose Coleman, Adam Gottlieb, Nick Klemp and Michelle Hill, Nate Marshall, Avery R. Young and an interview with Joel Greenberg. Robbie Q. Telfer hosts. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for students.
MØ, aka Karen Marie Ørsted, is set to (probably) bring down the house at Lincoln Hall this Wednesday. Her debut, the lush and growing-on-you-everyday No Mythologies to Follow", came hot off the heels of her beloved Bikini Daze EP. Swedish wunderkind and remix master Erik Hassle is set to open. Expect a night of Scandinavian synth pop perfection. The show begins at 9 pm, is 18+, and is also sold out.
