Riverwest Music Festival

The inaugural Riverwest Music Festival runs July 4-6 along the North Branch of the Chicago River, 1177-1111 N. Elston Ave. (from Estate Ultra-Bar south). The EDM festival features artists on three stages, culminating tonight with headliners Excision, Jamie Jones and Art Department. Tickets are $70 per day or $170 for a three-day pass. The festival runs from 11am to midnight today.

International Festival of Life

The International Festival of Life runs July 3-6 in Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St. Dozens of acts perform reggae, mambo, R&B, salsa, gospel, EDM and more on three stages. Featured acts today include Leanne Faine, Ikronik Band, Etana and Luciano. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate. The festival runs from noon to 10pm today. All ages.

SOS: A Summer Clown Cruise

El Circo Nacional de Puerto Rico and Theater Oobleck perform SOS: A Summer Clown Cruise tonight and Monday in the Humboldt Park Boathouse, 1440 N. Sacramento Ave., at 7pm. Bring a blanket or chair and watch juggling, fire work, clowning and acrobatics performed out on the lagoon, accompanied by a nine-piece band and bilingual narration. Free.

Future Folk @ Double Door

Do312 presents a special screening of The History Of Future Folk, along with a live performance by Future Folk and a Q&A with the band and stars of the movie, tonight at Double Door, 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave. Doors open at 7pm, the film starts at 8pm, and it's free with RSVP. 21+

Here, Chicago @ Stage 773

Here, Chicago (formerly known as Here's the Story) is back at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., tonight for an evening of true-storytelling and a potluck dinner. This month's show features improvisor Nnamdi Ngwe, former NASA scientist Christie Grace, folk duo River Rising, and a tall-ship sailor and humanitarian clown -- plus five slots for open-mic storytellers. Hosted by Janna Sobel with guest co-host Erin Kahoa. The potluck dinner starts at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $8, or free with a dish for the potluck.
