A BBQ should never cost $125/person unless it's the Green City Market BBQ, which runs tonight at Lincoln Park's South end (1815 N. Clark Street) from 5:30-8pm. This benefit for the heralded farmers market features eats and drinks from 100 of the city's finest chefs. If you have the means, I highly recommend it.
Sixty Inches from Center presents Writing In The Margins: Who Do You Write For?, a panel discussion on the relationship between writers, artists, and their various audiences, tonight from 6 to 8pm at the Zhou B Arts Center, 1029 W. 35th St. The panel will include visual journalist and media arts educator Sophia Nahli, Honey Pot Performance cofounder Felicia Holman, artist Jenny Lam, poet and author Olivia Cole, and writer Diana Pando. Moderated by Jennifer PatiƱo Cervantes, writer and Director of Development for Sixty Inches From Center. Admission is $5.
Sound Opinions presents an evening with Jeff Tweedy and his band at Lincoln Hall (2424 North Lincoln Avenue). Doors at 6:00pm, show runs from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are free, but you need to pick them up at the Eventbrite page.
