Maria's Package Goods & Community Bar (960 W 31st St.) celebrates Belgium's Independence today with Belgian-inspired savory pies from Pleasant House Bakery and specials on Brewery Ommegang brews. From 7pm-9pm tonight, sample their limited-release 2014 Belgian IPA and any other Ommegang beer for $1 off the usual price.
The Downtown Sound free concert series at 6:30pm in the Pritzker Pavilion, 201 E. Randolph St. in Millennium Park, this week features The Both (aka Aimee Mann and Ted Leo), with Pillars & Tongues opening. Seating begins at 5:30pm -- and you're probably going to want to get there early.
