Edgewater Fall Art Fair

The best way to wrap up the summer is by purchasing something awesome that was made by a local artist or craftstperson. The best way to do this is at the Edgewater Fall Art Fair that runs today from 11am to 6pm. The fair will host at least 100 local artists on Granville between Broadway and Kenmore Avenue. You'll be able to view and purchase paintings, photographs, jewelry, mixed-media, accessories, pottery, and so much more.

Farm-to-Market Bash

Chicago Market Co-Op hosts the Farm-to-Market Bash, a celebration and benefit, today from noon to 4pm at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave. Learn more about the co-op and enjoy food and drink from more than a dozen local vendors. Kids' activities include making a fruit or vegetable mask, sprouting seeds and fruit'n'veggie bingo. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children.

Chicago Gourmet @ Millennium Park

Food and wine gets its due at this annual weekend-long festival of eating, drinking, and cooking demos from some of the nation's biggest names which takes place at Millennium Park (201 E Randolph St), which will be closed off to the masses for this luxury soiree. Event runs noon-5pm today. Tickets start at $170.

Andersonville Alice

Upended Productions presents a remount of the 2004 show Alice, inspired by the Lewis Carroll books. A series of performances and installations around the Andersonville neighborhood will allow the attendees to feel what it's like to actually be Alice. The show runs Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm through November 2; full details and tickets available at the Upended Productions website.

The Last Unicorn @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., indulges your love of unicorns with a special screening of the 1982 animated classic The Last Unicorn today at 2pm. Author Peter S. Beagle will be present for a Q&A and booksigning, and costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 12.

Clam Bake @ Little Goat

Chef Jamie Bissonnette of Boston's Coppo will be teaming up with Little Goat (820 W. Randolph) for an evening of the many seafoods and late summer delights tonight at 6:30pm; your $130 ticket gets you drinks and dinner.
