Chicago Toy & Game Fair

The Chicago Toy & Game Fair is at Navy Pier Saturday and today. Check out new and old board games and other toys, compete in Settlers of Catan and Rummikub tournaments, and meet game inventors and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and kids 13 and up, $5 for kids aged 3-12, and free for kids under 3. The fair is open from 10am to 5pm today.

Show of Hands @ Ravenswood Event Center

The Show of Hands craft show runs Saturday and today at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4043 N. Ravenswood Ave., from 10am to 5pm. Shop for hand-made wares from 60 independent artists and designers. Admission is free.

Randolph Street Holiday Market

The Randolph Street Holiday Market runs Saturday and today at the Plumbers Union Hall, 1340 W. Washington St., from 10am to 5pm. Shop for antique, vintage and modern furniture, jewelry, artwork and housewares. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door; see the website for package deals.

Mac & Cheese Takedown @ Lincoln Hall

The Takedowns host a Mac & Cheese Takedown this afternoon at Lincoln Hall (2424 N Lincoln Ave) from 2- 4 p.m. The event is +21. Tickets are $20 and include tastings of the competitor's mac & cheese. Anyone interested in competing in the takedown should email chilitakedown@gmail.com.

Chicago Italian Film Festival

The inaugural Chicago Italian Film Festival runs Nov. 21-27 at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave. The theme is "Italian Comedy: Then & Now." Today's films are Seduced and Abandoned (Sedotta e abbandonata) at 2:15pm, The Mafia Kills Only in Summer (La mafia uccide solo d'estate) at 4:30pm, Escort in Love (Nessuno mi può giudicare) at 7pm and A Small Southern Enterprise (Una piccolo impresa meridionale) at 9pm. Individual tickets are $10, or $8 for members of the Italian Cultural Institute Chicago. See five films for $40.

Sloan @ Bottom Lounge

Sloan plays the Bottom Lounge, 1375 W. Lake St. Doors are at 8pm, show's at 9pm. Tickets are $15. 17+

The Twilight Sad @ Empty Bottle

The Twilight Sad mixes a range of punk filled noise and softer folk yearnings to create some of the saddest songs you'll get the chance to hear. They will play their debut album Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters in its entirety at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. Opening for them will be local band RLVR, which features members from Pelican, Bloodiest and Locrian. This 21+ show starts at 9pm, tickets are $15.
