Too Much Light New Year's Eve @ Neo-Futurarium
The Neo-Futurists ring in the new year in their usual tradition of performing their flagship show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind so that it finishes exactly at 12 midnight. Ring in the new year with "30 Plays in 60 Minutes," and enjoy pre-show refreshments before the countdown starts. Doors open at 9:30pm, and the show begins promptly at 11:00pm. Sun Ra Arkestra @ Constellation
The year long celebration of Sun Ra's centennial birthday is coming to an end. What better way to finish the year than with the Sun Ra Arkestra lead by Marshall Allen. Take a trip to far off constellations with the otherworldly music of Sun Ra! The late show is sold out, but you can still get to the stars during the early show. Tickets range from $25 to $35. JC Brooks and The Uptown Sound & Sidewalk Chalk @ Emporium
JC Brook and the Uptown Sound will bring bring a little soul to Emporium on New Years Eve. Sidewalk Chalk will bring the hip hop/jazz/tap/big band to the evening festivities. You can even play some video games and pinball to pass the time between sets. Tickets are $25 for you early birds, $30 for the rest. Mucca Pazza, a 30-piece punk marching band group, shows that music cannot be defined at times, and that your own unique musical identity is what truly makes an outstanding group. This 21+ show begins at 9pm with doors opening at 8pm and tickets are available in varying tiers. Double Door is located at 1572 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

The Orwells @ Lincoln Hall
The Orwells bring their confident rock tunes to Lincoln Hall for an unforgettable New Year's Eve show. Springtime Carnival, Criminal Hygiene, and DJs Extra Sauce and Well Done will support the bill, with this 18+ show beginning at 10pm.
