Need a special Valentines date for your day? Why not go on a naked scavenger hunt in the Art Institute, 111 S. Michigan Ave.? Watson Adventures will be taking you and your hunny through the museum for a peek at all of the nudes around the museum. Tickets are $41. Tour starts at 1pm. Adults only.
Curbside Splendor presents the latest edition of its reading series, The Marrow, tonight at 6pm at the Whistler, 2421 N. Milwaukee Ave. This month's lineup includes Claire Zulkey, Lisa White and Rebecca Vipond Brink. Leah Pickett and Naomi Huffman host. No cover, 21+
Chicago Her HRC presents Va-Va-Vaudeville at Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave., tonight, featuring burlesque dancers, comedians, jugglers, magicians, musicians, sword swallowers, painted ladies, belly dancers and more. Gwen La Roka hosts. Doors open at 6pm for VIPs, 6:30pm general admission; show starts at 7pm. Tickets are $20-35. 21+
Lyra Hill and Daviel Shy, Chicago filmmakers and visual artists, will be sharing and discussing their research, experiments and reactions this evening at Roots & Culture, 1034 N. Milwaukee Ave., beginning at 7pm. The night will focus on the work that both filmmakers have created in the past seven years. Free.
Thalia Hall, 1807 S. Allport, will be hosting a a massive tribute to the soul genre. The Blues at the Crossroads will feature performances by Lee Fields, Irma Thomas, Eric Krasno, Alecia Chakour, and The Dynamites. No better way to cap off a Valentine weekend than with a little loving soul. Doors open at 6:30 for this all ages show. Tickets are $26 for the floor, $46 for balcony seats.
