Cheryl Pope, a Chicago participant as a resident artist for the Pedestrian Project, celebrates the opening of her show Just Yell: Unfolding the Folds, today from noon to 2pm in the President's Gallery at Harold Washington College, 30 E. Lake St. Pope will be collaborating with students from the college's Department of Art and Architecture and bring forth conversations about social and relevant issues in today's society. Free.
The Mission presents the latest in its SUB-MISSION artist talk series today at 6pm, featuring Manuel Rodríguez-Delgado. Manuel Rodríguez-Delgado's site-specific exhibition, Selvanáutica is currently being displayed at The Mission, 1431 W. Chicago Ave. The talk is free and open to the public.
The Chicago Public Library presents Acting the Anti-Hero, a One Book One Chicago panel discussion on the role of the anti-hero in American literature, tonight from 6 to 8pm at Revolution Brewery, 3340 N. Kedzie Ave. Moderator Mark Bazer talks with Tribune reporter Christopher Borrelli, film critic Sarah Knight Adamson and Third Coast Comics owner Terry Gant. Free, 21+
The CUBE Ensemble premieres, Faces of Eurydice, a dance-opera which will theatrically re-tell the story of Orpheus, on March 12. Tonight at 7pm CUBE Ensemble hosts a final fundraiser at Cliff Dwellers Club, 200 S. Michigan Ave., 22nd floor. Free entry; cash bar, dessert, an auction, preview of the piece and a live band with dancing will be apart of the fundraising evening.

The creators of the game Utter Nonsense present a night of sketch comedy and standup based on the game tonight at Workshop Chicago, 935 W. Chestnut St. #530, at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10
An amazing collection of pure rock and roll lined with rugged crooners and serenaders will be taking the stage at Subterranean, 2011 W. North Ave. as part of Dunn Dunn Fest. Starting off the night will be soaring vocals of The Traveling Suitcase followed by the ever enticing growls of Chicago's Mutts. Headlining will be July Talk, a perfect mixture of the nights versatile singing styles. Doors open at 8pm for this 17+ show. Tickets are $10.
Rock historian Greil Marcus will be doing a reading from his recent book The History of Rock'n'Roll in 10 Songs tonight at 8:00pm at The Old Town School of Folk Music. Local music heroes Jon Langford & Sally Timms will also be present to provide musical backup. The show takes place in the school's new building at 4545 North Lincoln Avenue.
