John Himmelfarb Opening Reception: "No Exit" @ McCormick Gallery

Thirty years of "trucks, icons, and weird drawings", will be presented at McCormick gallery in the solo exhibition, "No Exit" tonight from 5-7PM. The work of John Himmelfarb will be on view until August 15th. McCormick Gallery is located at 835 W. Washington Blvd.


Taste of Randolph

Taste of Randolph runs June 19-21 on Randolph Street from Peoria to Racine. Sample food from local restaurants, check out vendors and enjoy live music, including headliners Dinosaur Jr. and DJ Zebo; see the schedule for full lineup info. The fest is open from 5 to 10pm tonight. $10 suggested donation at the door, or pay for access to the VIP lounges and private restrooms.

Alice Tippit: La Force Opening Reception @ Paris London Hong Kong

Opening tonight from 5-8pm, Paris London Hong Kong, will be presenting the works of Alice Tippit in the exhibition, "La Force". PLJK is located on 845 W. Washington Blvd., 2nd Floor.

Chicago Ale Fest

Chicago Ale Fest brings beer to Buckingham Fountain, 301 S. Columbus Dr., tonight and tomorrow. More than 200 beers from breweries across the country will be available to taste, along with food and live music. The fest runs from 6 to 10pm tonight. Tickets are $50 ($25 for designated drivers) and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Grant Park Conservancy. 21+

Chicago Design Week Closing Reception @ ChiDM

The Chicago Design Museum, 108 N. State St., third floor, hosts Lights Out: the Chicago Design Week Closing Reception tonight from 6 to 9pm. Enjoy drinks and snacks while checking out the museum's current exhibition, "The State of Detroit." Tickets are $20, $10 for ChiDM members.

Inkling 5th Anniversary

Inkling, 2917½ N. Broadway, celebrates its fifth anniversary tonight with a party from 6 to 9pm. Shop, meet local artisans, and enjoy champagne, beer from Dryhop Brewers and treats from Dough and a Deer. Free.

Chicago Women's Funny Festival

The fourth annual Chicago Women's Funny Festival is back at Stage773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave., June 18-21. Check out some great female comedians and sketch comedy troupes on four stages, beginning at 8pm tonight; see the schedule for lineup details. Tickets are $15 per set, or get a festival daypass for $47. Doors open at 7:45pm.

Orquesta Victoria with Noelia Moncada @ Old Town School

Orquestra Victoria with Noelia Moncada, a tango orchestra from Buenos Aires, will be performing a milonga tonight at 8:30pm tonight at 8:30pm at the Old Town School of Folk Music's Szold Music and Dance Hall, 4545 N. Lincoln Ave., as a part of the Old Town School's Global Dance Party Series. The weekly series offers participants an opportunity to experiment with various global styles. The evening is composed of a dance class, followed by two hours of live music where students can test out their new skills. Tickets are $35.
