"When History Meets Theater" is the title of a free lunchtime gallery tour on Mesopotamian art and archeology today at the Oriental Institute, 1155 E. 58th St. Maren Robinson, dramaturg for Timeline Theatre's current production of inana, and Kiersten Neumann, Ph.D. in Mesopotamian art and archaeology, will share their reflections on items located in the Edgar and Deborah Jannotta Mesopotamian Gallery.
The 34th annual American Music Festival runs July 1-4 at FitzGerald's, 6615 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Berwyn. Hear music on three stages -- including Uncle Lucius, Cannonball, Sarah Borges and the joe Ely Band -- from 5pm to midnight tonight. Tickets for tonight's lineup are $35 (get $5 off at the door before 5:30), or buy a four-day pass for $100. Doors open at 4:30pm.
