The fifth annual CHIRP Record Crawl takes you crate-digging at some of the city's best spots for vinyl: Laurie's Planet of Sound, Permanent Records, Reckless Records Wicker Park, Logan Hardware and saki. $5 admission includes trolley transportation, exclusive in-store discounts, a button and a tote bag. The crawl begins at Laurie's Planet of Sound, 4639 N. Lincoln Ave., at 11am. RSVP to rsvp@chirpradio.org to reserve your spot.
From noon to 3pm today, Corinne Peterson will be leading a workshop, Shaping Clay, Shaping Life, though her Cairn Project. In the workshop you will be guided to make a clay "rock" that represents a painful history and a porcelain piece which represents light and hope. Each cairn will then be exhibited at selected locations. Each workshop costs $55 and is located at 1500 N. Hoyne.
