Curbside Splendor Pop Up Book Fair @ Empty Bottle

The Empty Bottle and Curbside Splendor present their bi-annual Book Fair, starting at 1:00pm. Over 30 local and regional book sellers, publishers, and presses will be represented. Fantasia @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Clark St., presents a 75th anniversary screening of Disney's Fantasia at 2pm today, accompanied by a behind-the-scenes look at the Philadelphia Orchestra's rehearsal process and how the orchestra came to be involved in the film. Tickets are $12.

Serving the Sentence @ Towbar

Serving the Sentence, the reading series in which all the stories begin with the same line, is back at Towbar, 1500 W. Jarvis Ave., tonight at 7pm. This month the sentence is "I'm not going to say it was my best moment as a human," and the readers include Crescent Prah, Tori Szekeres, Sean Keen, Jen Ellison, Julie Marchiano, Colleen Patterson, James Gordon and host Kendra Stevens. Free, but donations accepted.

Arlo Guthrie Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary @ Harris Theater

The Old Town School of Folk Music and the Harris Theater present Arlo Guthrie on his tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alice's Restaurant. The concert happens tonight at 7pm at the Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph St. Tickets are $55-65.

An Evening with David Mitchell & Lana Wachowski

Unabridged Bookstore presents An evening with David Mitchell and Lana Wachowski tonight at 7:30pm at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave. Mitchell, author of The Bone Clocks and Cloud Atlas, will talk with Wachowski about his latest novel, Slade House, as well as his other books and work. A book signing will follow. Tickets are $30 for one, $45 for two and come with a copy of Slade House.

That's All She Wrote @ Great Lakes Tattoo

The monthly live lit series That's All She Wrote is back at Great Lakes Tattoo, 1148 W. Grand Ave for another show. Red Scare Acoustic Party @ G'Man Tavern

Notable punk label Red Scare is hosting a free acoustic party tonight at 9 p.m. at The Gingerman Tavern, 3740 N. Clark St. The show features a stripped down set from Typesetter and Sincere Engineer. The headliner for the evening has yet to be announced.
