Chicago Fair Trade Holiday Pop-up Shop

The second annual Chicago Fair Trade Holiday Pop-up Shop opens today at 2031 N. Damen Ave. today from 11am to 7pm. Twenty locally owned vendors will sell holiday gifts ranging from home decor to accessories to food items. The shop will be open every Tuesday-Sunday until Wednesday, Dec. 23. Hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm, Saturdays 11-7pm, Sundays 12-5pm.

Chicago Free Store

The Chicago Free Store is open today and Saturday at the South Side Hub of Production, 1448 E. 57th St. Everything in the store is free for the taking, and includes books, clothing, food and more. Anything left over will be donated to charity, and visitors are welcome to bring additional items to donate. The store is open from noon to 8pm today. More details on Facebook.

Sound of Music Sing-A-Long @ Music Box

Tab Hunter Confidential @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center begins a week-long run of the new documentary Tab Hunter Confidential, a documentary about the 1950s and 1960s actor. Hip-hop duo theWHOevers headline a late show tonight at Schubas, 3159 N. Southport Ave., with ShowYouSuck, Kweku Jones and Beach Jesus in support. Doors open at 10pm. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. 21+
