Oh, Hi Mark! Greg Sestero Dishes About The Room
Greg Sestero, best known as Mark in The Room, has written a book, The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made, about his experiences meeting writer/director/star Tommy Wiseau and making the cult classic film. is sure to please the many fans of Wiseau's bizarre masterpiece.
Sestero met the enigmatic Wiseau in a San Francisco acting class. They became unlikely friends, then collaborators, culminating in the cinematic disaster that would eventually bring them both worldwide fame.
Sestero is coming to the Music Box, 3733 N. Southport Ave., on Dec. 3 for a Q&A with Gapers Block's own film critic, Steve Prokopy, as well as a screening of The Room. He'll also be showing a short movie about the making of The Room that includes read-throughs of some of the original script.
Wiseau has made several stops at the Music Box to do Q&As alongside screenings of his film -- but his As are almost never direct, and often raise more questions than they answer. Here's your chance to ask someone who might be able to deliver a coherent response. The book event begins at 7pm, followed by The Room screening at 10pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, or $45 with a copy of The Disaster Artist.
