One of a Kind Show Returns to the Merchandise Mart

One of a Kind Show logoPerhaps you've noticed the street banners parading in downtown, or are a returning shopper, but next month, the One of a Kind Show and Sale will return for its 15th annual holiday sale. The handmade shopping event will include more than 600 artists, craft makers and designers from all over the United States.

The show celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with gifts for friends, family, or yourself. The One of a Kind Show features local and national artists that individually create their works, instead of mass producing for the eager shoppers. Art pieces in the event do not only reflect the holiday spirit but span a wide range of mediums, including craft makers such as, Chelli Harms Collection, Miss Millie Ceramics, 3-Switch, Jellykoe, and Limbo Jewelry Design.

The importance of craft and supporting local artists is evident in the Chicago scene, as we have events like the Renegade Craft Fair, 57th Street Art Fair, Bucktown Arts Fest, Randolph Street Fair and many, many more.

Nevertheless, the show isn't just about shopping. It also will include artist demonstrations, a gourmet gallery, and a fine art exhibition. While taking a break from gift-shopping, the event offers a number of events where visitors can indulge for the four day festivities.
