Julia Heath celebrated New Year's Eve at a bar on Rush Street that she'd never been to with people she hoped she'd never see again. At 1:20, she ran out to catch a cab, waving her goodbyes to the people she's known since college orientation and jumped into her new life.

When Julia went home, she immediately got to work filling the U-Haul parked in front of her apartment. She didn't even change out of her party dress, just strapped on some Nikes and started carrying boxes. Over the course of three hours of packing, her fake nails broke, her hairdo came loose and all of her tarty makeup melted off.

A week later, ensconced in her new apartment, happy in her new job, Julia met up with some of her old friends at the MCA. Ten minutes into it, she was over it. It's easy to get lost at First Fridays, so for the rest of the evening, Julia looked for him. And on Wednesday, she found him. Geoffrey emailed her back and they've been trading flirty emails and calls since. When they have their first date, it will be for coffee, not cocktails. And Julia will wear jeans, no makeup, and an open heart.
