I've *lent* books to people that I never saw again. I'm still bitter about losing a couple of them. Consequently, I am a trustworthy borrower. I don't have any books on my shelves now that belong to someone else.
yea its a character flow But I only do this with books. I do admit it before hand that the odds of them getting said book back are slimmer than thread to none, unless they appear at my door step.
But you’d be surprised at how many people want to get ride of books or just don’t covet them as much as I do.
Needless to say, while I' m easy to lend money and by drinks for total strangers female and male, I lend books once in a blue, green and orange moon
Books are one of those things that if I like a particular title enough to recommend it to someone I generally don't expect it back.
I borrowed People of the Deer by Farley Mowat from one of my good friends. I was reading it on a bus, and I totally forgot it on there. So, I wasn't able to give it back. But I have told her that I will buy her a new copy- it's been re-released in hard cover, so I'm able to save face and then some!
In this debut novel, high school English teacher Peter Ferry witnesses a fatal car accident and becomes obsessed with learning about the life of the victim, Lisa Kim.
