Even though he lived far longer than he expected, Kurt Vonnegut's passing has hit me pretty hard today. He is one of the very few authors of which I can say I've read all -- or almost all -- of his works. I own copies of all his novels and most of his short story and essay collections, and they are all well-worn. He will be missed.
