Eastern cuisine is not a new territory for local food writer Colleen Taylor Sen: in Curry, put out by University of Chicago press, she explores the history and culture of the often misunderstood dish. Her new book, Pakoras, Paneer, Pappadums: A Guide to Indian Restaurant Menus (available on Amazon and at Patel Brothers Handicrafts at 2600 W.
