Joe Meno @ Book Cellar
Friday night, Columbia College professor Joe Meno presents the new paperback edition of his story collection Demons in the Spring. Booklist says of Demons, "Intriguing and eccentric, Meno's stories never distract with their surreal flights of fancy but instead draw the reader in deeper to their magical reconfiguration of the modern world." Each of the 20 stories, including the tale of a girl who discovers she is dying from the mysterious construction of a miniature city inside of her chest cavity, features an illustration from a prominent artist.
