First-Draft.com is a wonderful general interest blog that is based on Chicago. Politics, journalism, ferrets and how to be a good egg and not a malaka are regular topics. It's been around forever in blog years.

Thanks, JoeJoeJoe- we're looking for blogs that are more exclusively literary-focused. But I did notice some great posts up on First-Draft- we'll definitely use (and credit) it as a source for local literary information.
