Borders Goes Bankrupt, Plans More Closures
Borders filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today, and announced an additional 200 stores will be closing by April, including several in the city and suburbs:

That's sad. That area on Clark and Diversey needs some help. With this gone, that whole corner is like a ghost town. Hopefully the Trader Joe's coming can bring some new stuff around there.
What sucks too is how inevitable it seemed. I love Borders stores, and yet my trips there got so infrequent, especially with my Kindle love affair. Still, it was a handy place for gifts.
