Children's Stories, Grim and Gory
Bosnian-born Chicago printmaker Sanya Glisic takes ink, paper, and her unique and detailed illustrations to 19th-century German psychiatrist's Heinrich Hoffmann's odd, occasionally whimsical, at times gruesome tales of morality. Her drawn, handmade take on Der Struwwelpeter is currently available in a limited print run from Spudnik Press.
