Whisky Fest: Get Tickets Now, See Kilts Later

whiskyfestchhd.jpg

Get your whiskey on April 13th, when all of the best producers of whiskey, scotch, and bourbon invade Chicago's Hyatt Regency for Whisky Fest. Your $105 ticket lets you attend seminars by all of the leading distillers and taste rare and fancy stuff from County Cork to Kentucky. Tickets sell out weeks in advance, so best secure yours now online.

Keep an eye out for other whiskey related events that week, particularly at Twisted Spoke and Delilah's. Don't be suprised if the guy next to you is sporting a plaid skirt. Its probably not Mike Myers.

I've been to WhiskyFest three years running now, and it's a great time. This past year's event was much more crowded than the prior two, though, which made it more difficult to obtain samples or really chat up the representatives.

Christine / February 27, 2007 1:19 PM

I feel ya. There is a VIP ticket available for $145 that lets you in one hour early before the riff raff. Much less crowded and mostly trade folks at that point. If its worth an extra $40 to you.

Jim Javenkoski / February 28, 2007 12:37 AM

When you need to refresh your palate in between swigs of the aforementioned beverages, you are welcome to stop by the Unibroue table for samples of our refermented strong ales. We'll be pourin' selected core Unibroue brands as well some of our vintage ales, including the new Unibroue 16. Santé!

Andrew / February 28, 2007 11:39 AM

I always make sure to make a couple stops at your booth, Jim. Y'all should bring some Quelque Chose along this year -- warm, preferably.
