Half Sheep Half Goat

Carr Valley Mobay cheese The Carr Valley Cheese Company of La Valle, Wisconsin cleaned up this year in the American Cheese Society's Annual Competition, and one of their best cheeses is called Mobay. A line of grape vine ash down the middle of the wedge separates a layer of goat's milk cheese from a layer of sheep's milk cheese, making it the perfect choice if you're looking to please a crowd at your next cocktail party. You can take a road trip to La Valle or attempt to order the cheese online, but since shipping prices go up in the warmer months, I suggest you check your local Whole Foods first to see if they have some in stock.
