Ode to $2 Burger Mondays

Two-dollar Monday night burgers, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways:

Your convenience and efficiency are the perfect ending to an otherwise plodding and difficult day.
I never tire of your sides -- regular fries, sweets, Tater Tots, even salad, you always know what I want.
Bun-free, you are a low-carb dieter's delight.
For just three shiny quarters, you gussy yourself up with succulent grilled onions or mushrooms, decadent bacon, or luscious cheddar, swiss, provolone or bleu.
Beer never tastes as good without you.
You are the ultimate cheap date.

p.s. I can't wait to see you tonight at Waterhouse. Where can we meet up next week?

Great post! The Rail on Damen (www.therailbar.com) has $1.50 burgers and fries on Wednesdays.

Thanks for the tip, Bobbi! Maybe one week, I'll do a tour of $1 and $2 burger joints. I'm pretty sure I could find a cheap burger almost every night of the week ... except maybe Friday and Saturday. Anyway, I guess seven nights of burgers is too much red meat anyway ...

$1 burgers at Smallbar on Tuesdays that are really good. Also, Kuma's sells sliders all the time that are TO DIE FOR.

Drinking in Buenos Aires

By Gemma Petrie

In May I traveled to Buenos Aires and spent a week eating and drinking in South America's second largest metropolis. Many guidebooks are quick to peg Argentina as the place to drink Malbec. While this is true, Argentina has much...
