No HFCS? WTF?
National chain Jason's Deli (which has a South Loop location) has announced that they will no longer use high fructose corn syrup in its foods. Can this succeed? While Coca-Cola made with cane sugar is quite superior to the standard blend made with HFCS, the jury remains out as to whether the bread quality can survive Jason's new policy.

If it's just the bread, they should be fine. There's lots of good bread in grocery stores without HFCS. Well, I shouldn't say "lots" as there are far more breads with HFCS than without it. But if you read the ingredients lists you should be able to find a good brand. They usually just use regular sugar or brown sugar in its place.
