Save Some Green @ Blind Faith Cafe

Blind Faith Cafe (525 Dempster, Evanston) has been providing a vegetarian option to the North Shore since 1979! To celebrate 30 years of providing alternative dining, Blind Faith will provide a delicious meal and let the customer name the price!

From tomorrow, Oct. 1 until Saturday, Oct. 3, customers can enjoy an entree and choose to pay what they want. In addition, during this celebration, Blind Faith Cafe will be hosting a drawing for a complimentary dinner for four. Call the cafe at 847-328-6875 for more information.

I don't know what happened to this place but it has changed a lot and not for the better. Complete turnover in staff, reduced menu, higher prices, changed but not improved decor. Actually kind of sterile now. The bakery is gone, devoted to what looks like unused restaurant space. It was almost empty when I was there. Many items in the deli were unlabeled, and some that were were wrong. I assume it was sold and is now a business whereas before it was someone's passion. I was very disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite places.
