Thanksgiving Dining Round-Up in Chicago

Hash House A Go Go
Hash House A Go Go on the Gold Coast will be offering a buffet of their brunch items from 3 to 9pm on Thursday, Nov. 26, for $29.95 a person. Dishes include turkey with rosemary gravy, their famous sage-fried chicken and waffles, mashed potatoes, house-made biscuits, and a pie assortment.

Dolce Italian
Dolce Italian in River North will be offering a $60/person prix fixe menu on Thursday from 2 to 9pm. Diners begin the meal with antipasti starters (chestnut soup or salad), followed by pasta, including butternut squash ravioli. The main course will include roasted turkey, plus additional meat-centric dishes. Desserts include an apple tart with vanilla ice cream. If their Thanksgiving menu is anything as good as their regular menu, I would strongly suggest this.

Frontier
Frontier will be roasting a relatively tame meat for diners next week. $75 will get you a 15-pound turkey or $95 for a 20-pound turkey. Orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 23, and turkeys can be picked up at the restaurant from 9am to noon on Thanksgiving day. Sides include mac and cheese, string beans, potato salad and sweet potato puree. Book your turkey at 773-772-4322.

Nico Osteria
Feeling fancy? Nico Osteria, a Gold Coast venue, will be offering a four-course Italian dinner with dishes such as celery root soup with scallops. Service is from 2 to 9pm and costs $85 per person. Reserve by calling 312-994-7100.

Furious Spoon
Furious Spoon is giving away a free turkey ramen bowl on Thursday for diners who cannot afford a Thanksgiving meal. The Wicker Park ramen shop will be open from 11 to 4pm, serving a shortened menu with their turkey ramen bowl and a vegetarian ramen bowl. The restaurant will give away the bowls until they close or run out.

Longman & Eagle
Longman & Eagle will be serving its Thanksgiving prix-fixe menu from 1 to 7:30pm, with the following lineup of dishes: roasted heritage turkey, green bean casserole, piggy Brussels sprouts, bourbon & orange cranberry sauce, roasted spaghetti squash, chestnut foie stuffing, pommes roebochun, and sweet potato pie. Newport Bar and Grill
Can't Thanksgive without Footballing? Newport Bar and Grill in Lakeview will be hosting an all-day Football "Festivus" starting at 11am on Thanksgiving. Order a hand-carved turkey sandwich with $2-3 drink specials. What's the game line up, you ask? Eagles vs. Lions at 11:30am, the Panthers vs. Cowboys at 3:30pm, and the Bears vs. Packers (cannot be missed) at 7:30pm.

Vanille
Vanille will be offering their once-a-year pie menu: pumpkin with cinnamon whipped cream, apple streusel, and regular ol' pecan. Pies are $27.95 each or $49.95 for two, and orders must be placed by Sunday, Nov. 22.

Headquarters Beercade
Come to Headquarters Beercade in River North on November 19th from 8-10 PM and enjoy a five-course feast with beverage pairings from Pipeworks. Dishes include sweet potato pie and pecan pie! Tickets are ONLY $25 and can be purchased on their website.
