I'd like to go on vacation this summer, but I think home repairs are higher up on the list of needs right now.
Wedding/vacation to San Diego in August followed by two more weddings that month to attend. Long term, trip to somewhere very far. And a new couch.
My impending unemployment.
Now that our kitchen (most of which dated from the 1950s) has been completed renovated, the next thing our savings will go toward is the windows in the second-floor office. Ah, the joys of an 80-year-old house.
A cruise with some girlfriends in March 2011. I'm a little skeptical that it won't actually happen .
decorating, furniture and school. Big ticket stuff...and after a down payment and closing costs, that well is getting pretty dry.
A trip to Iceland in October.
I save, but for nothing in particular - because sooner or later comes along some situation, emergency or set of circumstances that dictates I have to pay for this. That's always the case.
Me and the mister are getting married next year, so there's that. We'd also like to buy a house, so a down payment would be lovely. Oh right, and the honeymoon. I don't mind feeling a little strapped for the next year because we're trying really hard to pay for the wedding in cash (honeymoon, too).
I'm saving just in case the new Mayor fires me.

Taxes.
I also got a little tucked away to have a beer or two after I pay the Gov't.
Don't tell them.
I'm saving my rage for my boss.
I'm saving money for wedding presents and next year's taxes.
New Zealand! (next year)
Cooking Classes in Tuscany. But ironically, now that I have saved the money, I don't want to let it go, because I've never saved this much in my life.
A new DSLR. My trusty XT is on its last legs.
25 K in a special mid growth investment fund to purchase a second (more amazing) home either in Nola or in Central America. With the way America's going, I'm really thinking Central America.
I'm also strongly considering dropping a big chunk of my retirement fund in there as well, because if I can't have the life I want far before I reach the age of sixty five then what's the point of having it at sixty five?
Screw saving to be a "comfortable old person". I want to live now. Americans are such sheep "Golden Years"? Ha, screw that!
Costa Rica in June.
A well-deserved roadtrip to Memphis, Austin, San Antonio, New Orleans, Nashville and back home to Chicago.
I just spent my last fifty dollars on insulation for the attic in the house I'm renting because I'm building a little room up there where I can hide from everyone.
It’s quite hard to find a good website. And I am very satisfied to have come here. The publications are doing great and full of good insights. I would be glad to keep on coming back here to check for a new update.
