German strategy games.
Yeah, falling asleep listening to the rain is nice.
But we've mainly been doing... other things. ;)
(Well, Andrew, Naz will be happy that you've turned the Fuel smutty in 3 moves).
I've been happily unpacking and painting new furniture (which has been less productive b/c of the humidity, but it's moving along). Thank god it wasn't raining 2 weeks ago when I did most of the moving!
knitting, knitting, more knitting.
I was just waiting... biding my time. I was considering being the first poster and mentioning the good ol' smut but wanted to see if someone got to it first. On that note however, there is something beautiful (not to mention sexy as hell) in doing *that* while there's a thunderstorm battering about outside.
One of my favourite things to do is to wake up to heavy rain. Especially if you get to stay in. It's even better if there's someone to cuddle (awwwww...pshaww!).
Another vote for sex! Yaaaaay, sex!
Also, watching the "Freaks & Geeks" Deluxe Edition DVDs. Go, Haverchuck!
Alphabetizing my cds...watching movies (Johnny Guitar, In America).
Sex? Watever happened to drinking gas? Man, what a blast...
being at work unfortunately.... :(
Drinking. And not just coffee.
Reading. ("The Secret Life of Bees", "Asleep" and now "Fast Food Nation")
Watching movies. (Wong Kar-Wai...for the first time)
Sleeping.
Wow, guess we bloggers sure can fuck.
Who's going to be the first one to say "ass sex"? Whoops, there I go again!
Who says I stay inside when it rains? I go outside and enjoy it.
I went to North Carolina and spent the time outdoors, enjoying the sun, bugs and grillin' up a storm ;)
Actually, I had to go for work, but I got to go visit with my best friend, and I stayed over for the weekend. However, just as I left for the airport yesterday, the carolina storms rolled in. Then I had to deal with a "total ground stoppage" at O'Hare.....ah, lovely weather delays.
Got in at 11 pm last night & the airport was crowded - guess it could've been worse, thankfully I didn't need a connection out of O'Hare.
I've been truing my wheels and exploring compliant, cross-browser compatible css-based rollovers (and finally nailed them god-dammit).
I'm with Tony, gotta get outside and enjoy it. Althou, with a babe on my hands (and hips), I've been snuggling up on the couch enjoying the sound & light show. There's no sex in a house with a 9-month-old!
taking photos of lightning using long exposures and watching movies.
watching my dog pace back and forth, hide in the closet, and run at the sound of thunder.
Wish I had a partner for the sex option, but I've just been watching movies, rearranging the apartment and watching the intriguing little radar maps in the corner of the TV screen.
Opening my show! With my theater company, The Gift, at National Pastime. It rained on Thursday. No, I mean it rained ON our SET, down through the electrics and right on to the forehead of our lead actor during much of the first act. Every actor who came on stage felt that true "honesty on stage" DEMANDED that they "acknowledge" the rain...some of us did so by moving out of the wet spot (har har, for those who need smut on the site) while others felt justified in adding lines about the rain, the lead's "lousy landlord" etcetera.
Then during intermission, part of the roof fell into the lobby, and the water that weighed it down flooded through the door onto the stage.
Gotta love live theater. This wasn't in my contract.
Working on my new skateboard made from a mid sixties water ski and a set of venture trucks from the eighties. Five and a half feet of cruising.
I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in
and stops my mind from wandering
Longing achingly for our new house, where I'll once again be able to enjoy a good rainstorm instead of fretting over the basement flooding which has plagued our current house.
I mostly stare outside, watching the grass grow before my very eyes, hoping for the drenching to cease for even a moment or two so I can go outside and push the lawnmover about and lop the heads off those uppity stalks o' grass and their kinfolk, the weeds.

Reading "The Devil Wears Prada", repeatedly watching SNL's The Best of Will Ferrell DVD (more cowbell!), cleaning my apartment, and taking many naps. Nothing's more comforting than napping to the sound of rain.
