(Tip o' the hat to Erica in the previous thread.)

Tim / May 17, 2005 11:31 AM

The overlook at old man Potter's place...."best place to make out"? What is this 1953? Since you asked, my backyard, on a blanket, under the stars...Yes, I live in the city and have an excellent yard with surprising privacy.

Andrew / May 17, 2005 11:40 AM

Would you prefer we said "best place to mack?" We're not talking sex here, just "heavy petting."

Personally, I'd say the best place is the limestone terraces along the lake shore on a warm summer night.

Thurston / May 17, 2005 11:46 AM

Photobooths in bars are great clandestine make out spots. If you feel the urge to suck face, just pull your beloved into the booth, close the curtain and go to town, and no one outside is any the wiser.

flobear / May 17, 2005 11:46 AM

I'd say lakefront...not orginal I know, but I love getting a nice make out session in under a tree by the lake.

A place I hate seeing people make out is the bridge over at LPZ where all of the wedding pictures are taken. A zoo is not a place to make out, just no.

heather / May 17, 2005 12:01 PM

a great place in the city to make out? anywhere my gentlemanfriend is, of course.

Mordecai / May 17, 2005 12:04 PM

Anywhere my ladyfriend is, of corpse

Thomas Sass / May 17, 2005 12:12 PM

In the bleachers at the Monster Truck Rally.

Aliotta, Haynes and Jeremiah / May 17, 2005 12:25 PM

...while driving down Lake Shore Drive.

(which is absolutely legal, unless you are also talking on a cell phone, in which case you are then BREAKING THE LAW)

Wendy / May 17, 2005 12:38 PM

Anywhere I'm drunk.

waleeta / May 17, 2005 12:48 PM

*sigh*. Where's a good place to MEET someone to make out with?.....*sigh*

Roni / May 17, 2005 12:49 PM

On the ledge of the Shedd Aquauriam by the dolphin pool. Of course, it was easier to get to back in the day before the rose/thorny bushes. Hmm...

Tim / May 17, 2005 1:01 PM

I am not sure it is legal to make out with the dolphins at the Shedd. Those LPZ protesters get wind of this you are going to be in deep guano.

Overwrought / May 17, 2005 1:41 PM

I'd say the lake too, so long as you are not within someone's view.

And I don't say this out of it being R rated, but rather knowing what it felt like being single at Jazz Fest, Movie in the Park, Ravinia on the lawn, etc. and being subjected to couples making out everywhere.

Blech.

Michael / May 17, 2005 2:13 PM

I hear Cook County Jail is kinda hot.

miss ellen / May 17, 2005 2:20 PM

on a busy street, during lunch, in the loop.

sorry single folks! i spent many years in single-tude, so nice to finally have a makeout partner ;)

sandor / May 17, 2005 2:48 PM

Navy Pier Ferris Wheel

Brian Stanger / May 17, 2005 3:14 PM

On the hood of Oprah's car.

miss / May 17, 2005 3:16 PM

boooo to PDA's.

i like making out on the roofs of tall buildings.

Patterson / May 17, 2005 3:25 PM

In my wife's bedroom.

kerry / May 17, 2005 3:27 PM

I haven't utilized it since high school and isn't technically in the city limits, but the Merrick Rose Garden on Lake and Oak is a great after-dark summertime makeout spot. Oh, and the very north end of the outbound el platform at Howard. Not good for any real necking, but handy for a quick, private snog.

kerry / May 17, 2005 3:28 PM

Er, I forgot to mention that the rose garden is in Evanston. Yeah.

David / May 17, 2005 4:27 PM

The corrugated metal tunnel that takes you under the el tracks between the 9th and 10th holes on Peter Jans golf course in Evanston.

Stephen / May 17, 2005 4:49 PM

Best place to make out? Body Worlds.

Probably not the "best" in the traditional sense, but more in the supremely-messed-up sense.

Emerson Dameron / May 17, 2005 6:58 PM

I almost had sex at Danny's Bar once, but they were closing, and we didn't want to be rude.

My favorite? My sweetheart's sleeping nook is quite pleasant. Or wherever else she is.

Eamon / May 17, 2005 10:05 PM

Boo to miss! Yay to PDA!

Also, I concur: the ferris wheel at Navy Pier never fails to disappoint. I also suggest the North Pond, the west side of the bar at the top of the Hancock, and anywhere near Buckingham Fountain.

Mac / May 17, 2005 10:58 PM

Cemetaries, after dark.

mike / May 18, 2005 1:36 AM

50's style---Montrose Pier on a summer night or roof of the parking garage at the AMC on Western--crazy view of the skyline for both. Oh, the romance of lore.

70's style--neighbor's trampoline after a weed induced pool party.

90's style-in a cigar shop...(zinger)

2005 style- I thought Republicans made making out illegal. Damn. I'm missing out. Someone build me a time machine...

chris / May 18, 2005 2:17 AM

in my closet, I spend all my quality time there.

Veronica / May 18, 2005 8:19 AM

Boo to PDA! And yay to Waleeta's comment up there. Otherwise, the lake at night. That was one hell of a make out session.

billy / May 18, 2005 8:41 AM

hmmm...in the park, summer sun rain storm sounds nice.

but unfortunately, my boyfriend and i are too afraid to of getting our asses kicked to make out in public. sucks.

Adam / May 18, 2005 8:59 AM

Best spot: Right under The Bean. You can watch yourself making out multiplied many times over.

Okay - I haven't done that. But I can dream :-)

kate / May 18, 2005 9:11 AM

I'm surprised no one has mentioned in front of the Chagall windows at the Art Institute. Though I suppose it is a bit public for any real spit swappin'...

e_five / May 18, 2005 9:32 AM

I can only judge by where I regain consciousness and my level of bruising, but I'd say in a hobo camp next to the rail yards on the SW Side.

Drdick / May 18, 2005 9:43 AM

Best make out spot - Al Capone booth at the Green Mill on a Tues night!

www.flowfeel.com

Tommy #1 / May 19, 2005 9:50 AM

The Green Mill doesn't exist........welcome to 2005 it's now "CREW"

flobear / May 19, 2005 4:44 PM

Tommy #1, Crew is next to The Green Mill, it's still there....silly
