"Rebuild Failed - See Log"
I blame it on lack of soap. That's it ENTIRELY!!!
Speaking of Mickey Rourke, I was browsing a back issue of Architectural Digest and got an eyeful of his Manhattan digs. Dude is creepy. His place looked like a set from the original Frankenstein movie crossed with a Chi-Chi's. The issue is from 1995 so I'm guessing things were pretty much on the downward spiral back then.
Man, so it's "Roarke" and not "Rourke". Bah...
Just changed it, it is Rourke. Bad Andrew!
Was it Lisa Bonet? Was it his pro boxer phase?
Isn't he missing a front tooth now, or something like that? Maybe he should put a piece of soap shavings in place of the tooth?
Again with the soap!
He got his face smashed in during his "boxing" experiment and had to have extensive reconstructive surgery -- new nose, new teeth, cheekbone implants. It ain't pretty.
Yeah, what's up with those cheekbones? They get sharper as he ages...not to mention the dude looked muscular as all hell in Double Team, that AWESOME movie with Jean Claude Van Bum and Dennid "Rod"Man.
Wasn't he in some artsy car commercial recently or something like that?
Also, this from a Salon article ( http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/2002/05/15/rourke ):
"His pouty lower lip is used to great effect. There is an almost androgynous appeal to him here; he wears more eyeliner than Ellen Barkin. Female audiences went ape for him as a slimy, effeminate cockmaster, and so did the National Society of Film Critics, who gave him a trophy for the role."
He is a COCKMASTER.
I think he was pinning all his hopes on the runaway success of "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man," and when that failed, boxing was the only recourse.

I love that when I posted this, MT said "Rebuilding 'Mickey Roarke's career.'"
That's the only place you'll ever see that phrase.
