We're hitting Tanoshii for dinner, then heading to a friend's place for an evening of debauchery.

daruma / December 30, 2004 11:00 AM

Fogo de Chao for crazy carnivore lunch, champagne and possibly poker all afternoon, fireworks and more champagne at Navy Pier!

Thurston / December 30, 2004 12:11 PM

On New Year's Eve I am planning on having sex with a stranger.

robin.. / December 30, 2004 12:16 PM

we are throwing the party this year, to the joy of some and the consternation of others. it's a "there v. square" affair.

Mike / December 30, 2004 1:25 PM

Whatever, New Year's is the new St. Patrick's Day, just like Christmas is the new Thanksgiving. Coincidentally, Halloween is the new New Year's. Call me when it's Biological Diversity Day

No, seriously; party hopping, maybe dinner before. Getting all the rides I can out of 1 cent day on the el.

Cinnamon / December 30, 2004 2:10 PM

Drinking delicious sake while eating the best sushi in the city from the cleverest sushi chef this side of Morimoto with my sweet, sweet guy who makes me smile.

I'll also be wishing I could clone myself so I could attend all the parties and go to all the places I'd like to be on New Year's Eve. I'd love to sit on top of a cliff in Italy and watch the sun come up over the Meditteranean sea. Maybe next year.

yo! bikram yoga (105 degrees) from 10:30-midnight in wicker park. then arturo's tacos (they've got the BEST sopes ever)!

amyc / December 30, 2004 3:32 PM

Some tapas, prob'ly some sex, then asleep by 10. We know how to party!

Mike-TS / December 30, 2004 7:02 PM

Flying out to my cousin's Florida beach wedding, which will be followed by a wedding reception/New Year's Eve party. The Labor Day hurricane washed it out, and this is the time the family got time off to all go down there, hence the strange date.

Hey, after 40 years, about time I had something worth bragging about to do on New Year's, even if it is by accident. Usually it's get drunk with buds, holler at the football teams on the Eve bowls, sleep, get up, drink again, holler at the Rose Bowl.

Pat / December 31, 2004 9:28 AM

Dinner at Tweet, then back home to a party being thrown by my landlords.

Erik / December 31, 2004 11:21 AM

Hey, I'm gettin' hitched!!!

Andrew / December 31, 2004 11:47 AM

Congrats, Erik!

Alex / December 31, 2004 2:27 PM

Making some yummy steak au poivre for the husband and me, some organic veg for the kid and when he's in bed at 8:00 p.m., drink tons of champagne, watch cheesy TV and countdown at midnight.

Mike / December 31, 2004 5:14 PM

We're hanging out locally in Oak Park, within walking distance. Between the weather and the drunks, we'd rather stay off the roads.

Brandy / December 31, 2004 7:40 PM

It sounds geeky, but I hunker down, out of reach of all the drunk revellers, and reflect on the past year and makes grand schemes for the next.

LD / December 31, 2004 9:46 PM

I hate that song
