I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but "California Gurls" is pretty damn catchy. I find it creeping into my subconscious on a frequent basis.

"Sexy Bitch" by David Guetta feat. Akon.

Another vote for "California Gurls" simply because I CANNOT ESCAPE IT. Man, that song is everywhere, whether you like it or not.

keo / July 16, 2010 11:00 AM

California girls? UGH. Not all girls want to "melt someone's popsicle" or have whipped cream shooting out of their boobs. JUST SAYIN.

"Lindsay Brohan" by Javelin

"I Can Change" by LCD Soundsystem, but I would like "Sexy Bitch" to be the song that plays every time I walk into a room...

MICAH / July 16, 2010 4:38 PM

Gotta agree with the above posters. Just CAN'T GET ENOUGH of "California Gurls." When is someone going to come out with "Chi-Town Girls?" Kanye seems like the most likely candidate, and I'm not sure I'd really wan to listen to it...

Cody Bralts / July 17, 2010 11:22 AM

"Real Love" by Delorean. When they play this today at Pitchfork, the crowd will go wild. In this weather? Guaranteed.

Man, I was about to make some hipster joke about California Gurls! Yea boy, I was straight up all ready, locked and loaded!
but I'm glade I "you tubed" the song first

Shucks, I guess I'm just on my own planet,
and on my planet I've officially declared this The Summer of Pigeon
John, and if I had to choose amongst his songs for this summer, I'd go with "Growing Old" and "Matter 101". So, I'm digging this heat big time. It's the best drug!

Laura / July 17, 2010 11:40 AM

Madcon's "Beggin" is my official brainworm of the summer!

Caffrin / July 19, 2010 12:57 PM

Not really a "summer song" in the traditional sense, but I haven't been able to get Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" out of my head for months.

Mucky Fingers / July 19, 2010 1:47 PM

I just discovered "Stellify" by Ian Brown, and that's my mega-jam this season.

Erica / July 19, 2010 10:51 PM

Kelis' entire new album "Flesh Tone" is the ish. The first jam “4th of July (Fireworks)” is a great summer dance-jam.

beer:30 / July 19, 2010 11:12 PM

There's a mash-up LP called Jay-Z at Studio One. Black Album rhymes, classic Studio One riddims. The mash for Dirt Off Your Shoulder kills! Sounds like summer in Kingston and summer in the Bronx. I keep dropping the needle over and over and over.
